About Us

Makin' MuZic is an amateur, non auditioned choir based in Swindon, originally formed by employees at Zurich Financial Services. We have now expanded to include employees from Capita, Openwork, and from outside Zurich altogether.

We have been singing together since August 2008 and were formed to provide enjoyment for our members and to engage in community support by holding performances for the residents of local hospices and nursing homes. 



We raise money for Zurich Cares' charities by performing in local concerts and in-house within Zurich. To date we have raised over £1500! To find out more about Zurich Cares and what they do, take a look at the additional page.


Our achievements since we started include performances for various care homes and societies in Swindon plus our annual Summer and Christmas Concerts. We also entertained the people of Swindon at the St Georges day celebrations in the town centre!



Of course we are always happy to welcome new members. There are only two requirements and these are:
  • that you can attend rehearsals which are held on a Wednesday evening at 5.15 til . It is appreciated that not everyone can attend every rehearsal. 
  • that you are not tone deaf!!  Remember, though, that a choir is a blend of voices so you do not need to have a trained singing voice - we can help you!
