It has come to our attention that the Christmas concert is lacking a title!
Last night's discussion prompted a few ideas, along with some really awful (but hilarious!) Christmas puns.
So your challenge is to come up with a snappy title that does some or all of the following:
- Entices people to come along!
- Mentions we have mince pies
- Mentions we have mulled wine
- That there will be carol singing a plenty, but that it IS NOT a Carol service
- That, though there will be mistletoe and wine, we cannot promise Cliff Richard
- Oh and finally, that doesn't involve the phrase 'Yule be crackers to miss it!'
That's prize, not pies...
Ready, set - GO!
How about Festive Food and Seasonal Song? Not great but maybe it will spark a better idea...
ReplyDeleteNoels and Nibbles
ReplyDeleteSing song merrily with pies?
ReplyDelete...I am still trying to think of sensible suggestions too....
Carey I love it! LOVE it!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe I shouldn't be in charge of picking the winner...
Hi
ReplyDelete[referring to poster]
Looks good.
Perhaps on the left - a poem of some description might catch the eye more and be a bit different.
E.g. something like:
Come and join the yuletide fun
Warm wine and mince pies for everyone
All your favourite carols sung by our choir
The only thing missing a roaring fire!
Right hand side:
In the mid-week winter
Or
Christmas Cheer(s)
Helen, my problem is, you say No-el, I hear Noel(Edmunds)
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't want to think of Noel Edmunds and nibbles in the same sentance!
I love Carey's title and Michael's poem
ReplyDeleteI had thought of 'Festive Favourites' as a title but it's not as good as Sing song....
